Mother's Day

I had a great time hanging out with all three of my guys this mothers day. Forrest made some delicious pancakes and mine spelled out Mom :) Then we spent the rest of the day hanging out and relaxing. Aevery and I snuggled up on the couch and dozed for a bit while Forrest and Forrest Jr. enjoyed the nice weather we were having. For my mothers day gift Forrest got me the Rachel Ray cookware I have been wanting. An awesome gift from an awesome husband.

One thing that was definitely missing from the day was our Moms and we were really missing you both and wishing we could be home to celebrate with you. Love You Moms!

Mom gets new cookware and he gets a new box to play in. Why do kids like boxes so much? Makes me wonder why we even buy toys at all.

He really loves his little brother and can't wait for him to get big enough to play, but for now he just tries to play with all of his little brothers toys...if I tell him no he reminds me that we need to share. Today at bible study he was telling some of the kids that Aevery was HIS little brother.

More Fun In The Sun

We finally got some more sun so we took advantage of the opportunity to play in the sand. We were joined by our friends Amy and Liliana. The kids had a ton of fun playing in the water while Amy and I soaked up the rays. Here are some pics from the last few days.

Fun In The Sun

Last week we finally got some warm weather here. We spent a day out at the beach and soaked in the sun...maybe a little too much since both my shoulder are burnt. This was both Forrest and Aevery's first trip to the beach. Forrest loved playing in the sand and water and we couldn't hardly get him to leave. As for Aevery, well you can see from the pictures that he slept through his first beach outing. I guess the warm air and sound from the waves would lull any baby to sleep.

Don't mess with me!

I started to say that life is continuing as normal around here, but that wouldn't be quite accurate. Forrest and I are adjusting to life with two and getting reaccustomed to waking at night for feedings and diaper changes. I have to say that we are blessed with a good sleeper though. Last night Aevery slept a full 6 hour stretch before waking to eat...not bad for only two weeks old.

Forrest Jr. is doing great and loves being a big brother. Right now he is eating up all the attention he gets from daddy being home. He has developed some very interesting vocabulary though. After church last week they handed out candy to the kids as they were leaving... of course they hand it out as they leave. Anyway, he had one piece of chocolate and we told him he had to wait till we got to the restaurant to eat the rest. About 15 minutes down the road Forrest asked me if i smelled peanut butter. Sure enough when I turned around and looked at our little angel in the back seat his face, hands, and clothes were smeared with the remains of Reese's Peanut Butter Cup. I said "Forrest, you know you weren't supposed to eat that yet" and he said "Don't mess with me Mom, Don't mess with my candy". Well what did I do? I laughed my head off.
Don't mess with me buddy!

Here are some photos from the last few weeks:

Forrest loves his new jersey. Thank you Grandpa and Grandma. He is also enjoying his new Fire Engine that he convinced mom and dad he needed.

He enjoyed holding him at first, but then he said that his little brother was too heavy.

Easter Eggstravaganza

On Saturday we attended the Easter Eggstravaganza here on base. Forrest Jr. had a blast hunting for Easter Eggs, sitting on the Easter Bunny's lap, playing in the jump house, and running around like a crazy kid with all the other crazy kids hyped on sugar. It was a ton of fun and all the walking, hot dogs, and candy are probably what put me into labor.

Aevery Jeremiah Morgan

Our new addition has finally arrived! Aevery was born at 12:06pm April 5th, 2009. He weighed 8ibs. 1oz. and 20 inches long. I started having some light contraction around 1:30am on the 4th, about 1o minutes apart, but I thought for sure they would go away because they were so light, so I stayed in bed and slept. At 9am I took a shower and my contractions jumped to 2 to 4 minutes apart. We arrived at the hospital at 11am and were shocked to find out at that I was already 7cm. Within an hour of arriving at the hospital we were holding our new little man. We are so blessed to have another healthy little boy.

Forrest Jr. is taking the transition to being a big brother very well. He has been singing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star and The Sun Will Come Out Tomorrow to his little brother. I think he was hoping for more of playmate, but that will happen soon enough.

Still Waiting...

Well, we are still waiting for this baby to be born...looks like I will be overdue. In the mean time we are trying to keep ourselves distracted. Here are some photo's from the last few days.
