Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow!

It looks like we are going to have a white Christmas. So far we have gotten about 6 inches of snow since yesterday and it is supposed to continue. Forrest Jr. is loving it and has been watching frosty the snowman a lot. Forrest had duty yesterday and had to stay on base overnight due to the bad visibility and amount of snow, but he is home now. We took Forrest Jr. out to play this afternoon and he loved it. Even Missy came out to play, although she wasn't too sure if she liked at first.

We are definitely missing all of our family as Christmas approaches. We wish we could be home with you guys, but thanks to Grandma Hill's cookie recipe we brought a little bit of home to us today. I made some cookie dough and then Forrest Jr. and his friends Lilianna and Olivia came over to decorate cookies. Mostly they ate the frosting, sprinkles, and took as many bites of cookie as they could when we weren't looking. So I guess I should say that Amy and I frosted cookies this morning while the kids got hyped on sugar. Then they ran around like crazy kids for a while. Currently Forrest Jr. is napping :)

Here are some pictures from our fun morning and I am including a video on the side of the page.

Forrest was helping me make Chocolate Chip Cookies.

This is the view from out of my kitchen window this morning.

Decorating cookies. Forrest told me last night that he was going to share his car with lilly when she came over, but that was just to hard once she got here.

"I'm not your circus animal!"

The other night Forrest and Forrest Jr. were playing around in the living room. As I was passing by the room I heard big Forrest say "I'm not your circus animal!" This was too funny to ignore I had to ask what was going on. Come to find out Forrest Jr. was sitting on the couch and had his daddy standing in the middle of the floor while he directed him to spin around and around, over and over again. I guess daddy was done playing this game.

Do Banana's Poop?

Well according to my son they do. He was eating a banana before bed tonight and when he got towards the bottom of it he noticed a brown spot. He pointed to it and said "Poo Poo" I told him no that it was just a spot, but he insisted it was Poo Poo and threw the rest of the banana away. Gotta love the way kids think.

Playing in the Snow

We had our first snowfall on Sunday morning. Forrest Jr. was so excited about it and there was no way we could keep him inside. He played outside until his little hands were red and frozen, and even then I had to bribe him to come inside with a banana and 101 Dalmations.

Breakfast with Santa

So I am playing catch up with the blog. On Saturday Morning the Air Station had a Breakfast with Santa for all the families. It was so much fun and Forrest Jr. got a kick out of everything from the mickey mouse pancakes to the jump house. The highlight of the event was when Santa arrived by helicopter. Very cool! We worried that Forrest might not want to sit with Santa, but he jumped right on his lap on started talking away! It was a really cool experience.

Lunch Date with My Little Man

So the little man and I just had to get out of the house today. All he wanted all morning was pancakes and to go the park. It is just way too cold for the park, so we headed out for lunch together at Burger King. We don't usually do fast food, but today was an exception. I have to tell you that at first I felt a little guilty, here I am 5 1/2 months pregnant and with a two year old in tow and I am walking in to Burger King...Oh well...I got over it fast, especially since he got a real kick out of wearing one of those cardboard crowns; which he also wore into the next store.

So what is there to do on a cold cape cod day when you and your 2 year old are going stir crazy? Well first we stopped at the DMV (known as the RMV here), I figured it was time to face the reality that I really am living here and register my car before I get pulled over and hauled off to jail in front of my 2 year old. lol. I know thats an exaggeration but it was about time I did it. Then because we had done something productive I figured we deserved to go shopping. Got a great deal on an awesome purse and new sweater that fits over my growing belly, and also found a christmas outfit for little Forrest. Now its not as good as the park but little Forrest had a good time too, especially when he found a whole bunch of stuffed horses that he could play with. He also enjoyed saying "HI" to everyone we passed.

Thanksgiving

This was a very different thanksgiving for us. We had planned to go to our neighbors house but since I was sick with strep throat we stayed at home. Although we missed our families terribly we did enjoy laying around and spending time together. We have so much to be grateful for this year. God has truly blessed us through our family and our friends. He is constantly amazing us and we pray that he is doing the same for all of our loved ones. Hope you enjoy these photos from the last few weeks.

It's not thanksgiving without a pecan pie and I was thankful that it turned out ok.

A little turkey, a little football, a little nap on Daddy's lap. Notice missy is in her spot.

Helping Mommy with the dishes.

All bundled up to go play at the park.

Wearing Daddy's shoes.

I think they are going stir crazy. When will winter end? Oh wait, it just started!

My Son the Lady's Man

While relaxing on the couch after church today I received a call from Forrest who was only about 50 feet away at the park with little Forrest. He wanted me to come out and see what our son was doing at the park. Apparently our little man has befriended a couple of young teenage girls who were carrying him everywhere he wanted to go. I was indeed shocked to see with my own eyes these much older girls catering to my two year old sons every whim. lol. It gets even better though, just after little Forrest went down for his nap there was a knock at the door, and guess who it was? The same girls from the park brought him a pop up tent and tunnels and would like to know if little Forrest could play. When Forrest told them that he is napping they responded with "ok, we will be back in a couple of hours when he is able to play". I guess thats ok, just come back before his 7pm bedtime.

Another Boy In The Making

I can' t believe how fast this pregnancy is flying by. We had our 18 week ultrasound this week and we were so excited to find out that we will be having another little boy! It is going to be exciting to see our two boys playing together. I am feeling very blessed by God.

children a reward from him.

Our Little Thomas the Train

Little Forrest loves all things Thomas so we couldn't pass up this costume. It was too cold to go door to door, but we had pizza with the neighbors and the kids ran around the house like crazy people.

Trip to Boston

We decided to check out some of Boston before Stephanie went home. The weather was nice and for being a big city everything was pretty close together. We ate at the Cheers Bar, visited Paul Revere's House, saw a movie in the Planetarium at the Museum of Science.

Come On Momma!!!

So yesterday Stephanie, Little Forrest, and I were on our way to the car to leave for the store. I stopped to talk with the neighbor while they got in and started the car. After a few minutes of waiting for me Forrest roles down his window and yells "Come on Momma" and then rolls the window back up.
Ok, I'm coming! He takes after his Daddy.

Almosted Moved In

Well, we have arrived in Massachusetts and finally moved into our new home. It has been a difficult transition and many things have gone wrong. In the short week that we have been in our house the basment has flooded with sewage, our heater has gone out, our dishwasher flooded the floor, and our dryer has stopped working, but we are starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel.
Cape Cod is absolutely beautiful! Little Forrest loves all the tree's and when we first got here he thought that the highway (Pikeway) was a park because of all the tree's that line the roads. God has blessed us with some really nice neighbors and they have a little girl the same age as Forrest. The weather here is much much colder than California and I am having a hard time getting used to it, but Forrest and Little Forrest seem to be fine with it. We are missing all of you in California and hope that you are enjoying the warm weather out there.

Baby #2 is on the way...

We are so excited to announce that we will be having another baby! Our new addition is due in early April. Daddy is very excited, Mommy is nauseous, and little Forrest is warming up to the idea.

Inspired

So I have been inspired by my friend Katie to finally start this blog...something I have been meaning to do for a long time now. Thank you Katie! Now if I could only get around to returning e-mails :) Anyway, since we are once again moving and adding another baby to the mix life will undoubtedly be getting busier. I though that this would be a great way for us to keep our family and friends updated. Hope you all enjoy.
