Where did they go?

Forrest Jr. loves eggs. He eats them so fast its like he is performing a disappearing act. Today I asked him where his eggs went. He looked at me with a puzzled expression on his face, put his hand up with palms facing up, and said "where they go?" When I told him they where in his belly he couldn't believe it. He said "I find them" and proceeded to lift up his shirt and look for his eggs. The conversation that followed is to complicated to blog, but it was one of the funniest conversations we have ever had. Half way through I was wondering what in the world I was thinking to ask a 2 year old where his food went.

Forrest's bad luck with cars continues...now that he has fixed his water pump his heating coil went out. Thankfully these are all easy repairs but we are starting to wonder if should have chosen the MK (Machinery Technician) rate since he is learning so much about car repair. He doesn't want to give up on his firebird yet, they have come so far together. Driving 3,000 miles across country really gives a man time to bond with his car. What it does for a marriage is something totally different. LOL.

Joan of Arc ~ LaQueta of Massachusetts

Every women wonders if she is brave. Today I found out that I am. You may wonder why I make this claim about myself. Did LaQueta save a life today? No, but she braved the coldest day of the year to feed her family. Yes, I went out in the 14 degree weather while snow and ice covered the ground to do grocery shopping. I think this California girl is becoming brave, and at 7 months pregnant and with a two year old in two this was no small feat. After grocery shopping my little man and I enjoyed a well deserved lunch date where he could not stop pointing out, quite loudly, that the fluorescent light was going "night night" and "needs to be fixed". Yes, I felt like I was out to lunch with monk.

In other news, DJ Forrest has discovered that his musical ear extends to his fingers. He decided one day that he would try and play silent night and about an hour later he was playing it with both hands...he has never had a piano lesson in his life and can't read music. I married a prodigy! Unfortunately though my husband has no luck when it comes to cars. His beloved Firebird overheated on the way to work today, it was so cold outside last night (-6) that his
water pump cracked; but we are very thankful that it is not something more serious and it is relatively easy to fix. So the firebird will ride again with my handsome husband behind the wheel.
Here is the long awaited belly pic that some of you have been asking for.

In Honor of the Firebird...I wish it were as sunny and warm as when this picture was taken.

Happy New Year

We had a very special Christmas at home this year. We missed all of our family very much, but enjoyed the opportunity to spend the day at home with our little man this year. We started the morning with opening presents of course and then we had Cocoa and Biscuits for breakfast. If you have ever had them then you know why that was such a treat, if you haven't then you are seriously missing out. The rest of the afternoon was spent playing with toys and waiting, not so patiently, for Daddy to assemble Forrest's new Kitchen Set. We definitely have a little chef on our hands and not a day goes by that Daddy and Mommy don't get hot cocoa made for them. We ended the evening with a trip to the theater to see Marley and Me. It was Forrest Jr's first movie on the big screen and he had a great time eating candy and popcorn.

Thanks to Grandpa and Grandma we have plenty of Sour Patch Kids to distribute...we think we found them all. Not an hour goes by that Forrest Jr. doesn't ask for his candy.

We are definitely looking forward to this new year with much anticipation. We are so anxious to welcome our new baby boy into the world and to continue watching Forrest Jr. grow. He is constantly amazing us. Recently he has discovered Mommy's first name. Sometimes I hear him calling me from the other room with a loud "Queta".

Sending our love and best wishes to all our friends and family in the new year.

We didn't take as many pictures as I would have liked to because we were video taping, but here are some of the ones we did get.

Little Forrest in his new pajamas. Doesn't he look excited?
