The whole earth is filled with awe at your wonders; where morning dawns, where evening fades, you call forth songs of joy. Psalm 65:8

Tent Time
I just finished adding up the number of really cool pop up tents Forrest Jr has around the house and I came up with six, not to mention all the tunnels that connect to them. I guess there is nothing like a tent old school style.

Enjoying The Weekend
The weekend is sailing by at a leisurely pace and I have to say I am enjoying the sun even if it is only in the upper thirties here. Today my friend Amy and I enjoyed a relaxing brunch at a little Tea Shop in downtown Sandwich. The food was delicious and the tea shop was very quaint. It was a very refreshing morning for us girls.

Forrest and Forrest Jr. having been playing non stop and right now they are headed out to the park. I am definitely feeling like a home body and I think my nesting instinct has kicked in. We have been preparing for the new baby to arrive and we are just about done...still need to pack our bag for the hospital and pick up a few baby essentials. Forrest's supervisor will be taking care of Forrest Jr. when I go into labor and she will not be back in town until Friday so I have to hold out for one more week. I was so nervous last time around, but this time I am looking forward to going into labor. I can't wait to meet our new little man and Forrest is getting excited too. He says he can't wait to hold both of his boys. I am truly thankful for the husband God has blessed me with, there is no one else like him.

Forrest Jr. loves his new big boy underwear.

Trying to relax enough to potty.

38 weeks and counting.

Finger Painting & Chicken Nuggetts
Today has been a very fun & unproductive Monday. I should be catching up on the housework but instead we played with our new finger paints.
Potty Training is finally catching on and it has been a whole week since Forrest Jr. had an accident. He is even wearing big boy underware for naps, and he wakes up dry in the mornings. I can't tell you what a relief this is to know that I won't have two in diapers...not to mention the money we will save :) So what caused this great break through? I would like to say that it was our excellent parenting skills, but in reality like most parents probably do we resorted to a sticker chart and bribery. Thanks to all the candy that Grandpa sent we had plenty of sour patch kids to bribe him with. This last week of potty training has come with some great laughs. I got the biggest laugh when I was trying to put on the plastic underware that go over his real underware and keep in the moisture encase of an accident. He absolutely hates them and I was only using them when we had to go in the car. Well on Tuesday I tried to put these on him and he down right refused. He waved his arms at me while crying and backing away then he told me that He'd go crazy if I put them on him. I couldn't help but laugh and needless to say I don't want my two year to go crazy so he hasn't had to ware them since...and it looks like he didn't need them anyway. We have had many successful trips in the car.

Eating his favorite Dinosaur shaped chicken nuggets. He has to growl like a dinosaur when he eats them too.

Nothing like getting your hands messy.

Thank God for Crayola and washable paints.

P.S. No need to leave any comments about how kids tend to revert on there portty training after babies are born. I know...I know...I know. It will always be a mystery to me that when people are talking to a great big pregnant woman about anything to do with pregnancy and child rearing that have to tell you about the worst case scenario that could possibly happen. Like "I was schedule for and emergency C-section and the doctor accidentally performed a lobotomy on me instead". Or, "oh this is your second baby, you are going to be so tired" Like wow, do you think I am not already tired caring around this extra 20 pounds and getting up a million times a night to pee.
So far I have refrained from saying anything regrettable but there are no guarantees of what I will say to someone if I happen to go overdue. So please pray I go into labor soon. LOL.

It's been a while...
Since I've updated the blog. The last couple of weeks have been crazy. Forrest Jr. had strep throat and then I had a sinus infection and the stomach flu. Now that we are no longer under quarantine we are enjoying our return to civilization...aka play group.
We are having some pretty crazy weather here. We had a huge storm come through last night. It was pretty cool to see the lightning and listen to the hale and thunder. I'm not sleeping too well at the end of this pregnancy anyway so it was nice to have something to listen to while I tossed and turned last night. I just wish we could skip the snow it left behind. Snow in March...I really wouldn't have guessed.
On the subject of pregnancy. I am now 35 weeks. WooHoo. It is just flying by. We are so excited and can't wait to meet our little man. Still no name though. Hopefully we will come to an agreement before we take him home from the hospital.
Anyway, here are a few pictures of my boys from the last few weeks.

He and Curious George could get into a lot of trouble together, I hope they never meet.

His favorite dump truck came with surround sound. Its crazy loud.

"Mom, I'm too cool for pictures."

Thats more like it.

Always being silly.

Forrest spent his saturday fighting the Russians at a Paintball Scenario. He came home with plenty of battle wounds. Forrest Jr. keeps telling me that he is going to go paint balling with daddy. Here is a picture of my handsome warrior before he left for battle...he didn't look quite so clean when he returned.

a refuge in times of trouble.
He cares for those who trust in him,
